About Primaterra
More than the destination
Growing up on a farm gave me an early appreciation of wildlife, landscapes and the relationship between people and the places around them. Later, working in travel showed me the extraordinary experiences the industry can create, but also made me think more about the role travel can play in supporting the places we visit.
Primaterra grew from bringing those two worlds together.
A different way to travel
I wanted to create journeys where nature isn't simply the backdrop.
That might mean staying in the Kenyan wilderness while learning about the journey of orphaned elephants back to the wild, spending time with researchers protecting sea turtles in Greece, or choosing an exceptional place to stay because of the landscape and wildlife surrounding it.
The common thread is simple: the natural world leads the experience.
Primaterra works with carefully selected places, conservation organisations and partners whose work I believe is worth discovering and supporting.
Personally designed
Primaterra isn't a catalogue of holidays.
Every journey starts with a conversation about what interests you, the places you want to see, the wildlife you hope to encounter, how you like to travel and how involved you want to be.
From there, I'll create a journey around you, drawing on more than two decades of travel experience and a growing network of remarkable people and places.
Some journeys will involve direct insight into conservation work. Others might simply take you somewhere where wilderness, wildlife and exceptional hospitality exist naturally together.
What matters is that the experience feels right for you and right for the place you're visiting.
